We enjoy life by the help and society of others
To a Phi Delt, community service and philanthropy are essential pieces of living up to the ideals of the Fraternity. Each Phi Delt chapter has the opportunity to create its own events that impact the local community. Beyond chapter projects, individual members are encouraged to serve in ways and for organizations that are important to him. Wherever you go, you will find Phi Delta Theta chapters doing something of value on their campus and in their community.
On November 18th, 2015, the Kansas Alpha chapter hosted our inaugural event “Phi Delta Theta’s BonPHIre”. The night started at 10:00 pm, when we opened our doors and had food trucks out back along with s’mores by the fire pit. At 11:00 pm, our very own Patrick McQuaid and his band “Captiva” performed live in the dining hall. We finished up our event at 1:00 am and rocked out with “Captiva” until the very end.
On Saturday, September 19, 2015, Phi Delta Theta make the drive up to Kansas City to help support the ALS Association’s “Walk to Defeat ALS”. All 110 members and Phikeia made the trip to Arrowhead Stadium to help out. In the morning, we helped set up tents, sign-in booths, and directed people to the starting line. After the race started, we helped take down the whole set up, and we even had a few men join the “Walk to Defeat ALS”! It’s always great supporting the ALS Association in whatever way we can because it is a great organization and they are devoted to helping cure ALS!
