Our History

With our roots going back over 125 years, the Kansas Alpha Chapter of Phi Delta Theta has been a dependable and outstanding organization in the University of Kansas Greek community. From our founding in 1882, our proud history speaks for itself through academic achievement, campus activities and leadership at the University of Kansas. With more than 2,700 initiates, Phi Delta Theta has impacted the lives of its members through shared experiences and lifelong friendships. As alumni, we carry lasting memories from our fraternity experience.

The Chapter Today

Our chapter house at 1621 Edgehill Road is clearly the focus of undergraduate life for Kansas Alpha members. It has been a home away from home for hundreds of young men and a classroom where our brothers have developed bonds through friendship, sound learning, and moral rectitude, the cardinal principles of Phi Delta Theta.

Renovation

In December of 2015, the 7 month, $4 million renovation process was finally completed. With the addition of a basketball court, a dedicated member enrichment room, as well as numerous other indoor and outdoor renovations, our Chapter House is without a doubt the gold standard here at the University of Kansas, as well as Phi Delta Theta chapters across the nation. We love showing our Phi Delt pride by offering tours upon request to alumni and KU students alike. Contact us to come tour the newly renovated Phi Delta Theta Chapter House!
